Description
The towns on the Golden Circuit will allow you to appreciate beautiful landscapes, picturesque villages and rich craftsmanship of the region, as well as gain an understanding of the historical events that have influenced and made a lasting impression on the culture of Paraguay.
Many of the towns specialize in a specific artisan craft -- in fact, in many cases, hundreds of people in the community are dedicated to weaving or ceramics and it is a tradition that has been passed down through generations; Paraguayan crafts are an important part of the local economy, as well as the local culture.

The exact route and towns visited may vary depending on weather conditions, day of the week, local events, other logistical factors, and specific traveler interests. A minimum of four of these towns will be included:
- Aregua (church, street craft market, seasonal strawberry festival, and Lake Ypacarai)
- Capiata (mythological museum)
- Ita (black clay pottery)
- Yaguaron (Iconic historical church)
- Pirayu (charming village, historical train station, nanduti weavers)
- Caacupe (Basilica and site of religious pilgrimage)
- San Bernardino (German immigration in 1870s, summer resort town, and Lake Ypacarai)
